Highlights of the Week

1 - Article - This article, published recently in Qualitative Research in Sport, Exercise and Health, explores the perspectives of sports fans on public shaming of professional athletes. This piece of research is important in our understanding of parasocial relationships in sport, and helps us understand fans’ self identification and belonging. The article is free to read, and is available here.

2 - Review Article - Mental toughness in sport is hugely important and this review article published last year in the British Medical Journal provides an overview of recent studies in this field. This article is also open access, and can be read here.
